Phantoms at the Phil
Oct. 17th, 2006 05:03 pmWell, so much for working. Just heard from the Arts Council, that my beloved 'Phantoms at the Phil' project has lost its funding for this year. So am now sending message-boys running hotfoot through the interwebs, trying to salvage what I can. Probably no book, alas, no CD; no musicians, no extra writers; but there will still be an event, tho' it must needs be more or less the same event over both the nights we've booked.
It seems more necessary than ever, to pack the place out both nights. So hear this, you who live within striking distance of Newcastle (and bearing in mind that these days, one can strike from long-distance, with a little forethought and the odd expenditure): on 18th and 20th December of this year, Great Entertainment will be had at the Literary and Philosophical Society of Newcastle upon Tyne, from the Dramatic Renderings! of their Own Works!! by Sean O'Brien, Gail-Nina Anderson and Chaz Brenchley, telling Tales of the Supernatural and the Hauntly!!!
Come one, come all. Entry will be free, tho' we may invite a contribution. Reserve your places by phoning 0191 232 0192, or e-mail library@litandphil.org.uk
(Oh, and don't forget that the book of Phantoms 1 is still available; ordering information at the bottom of the page.)
