Well, today I have been mostly inventing a mutton and carrot and beetroot curry. I think it's going to work.
In between times, I have been mostly flicking through a book I wrote some years ago, looking for cues for the cover artist. I am ... not a visual writer. Description is sparse, and superficial. Poor Vinny. (Also, I keep getting sucked into reading the damn' thing. Which is really not the plan, but, y'know. Book.)
Meanwhile, poor Chaz: I have also been applying for a job. I'm 51 years old, and this is the first time. It's very odd. As it happens, I have been assured that I won't get the job, but I'm applying anyway. First principle: make them turn you down, don't reject yourself on their behalf. More on this later, as and when. Don't ask me questions in the meantime, I don't want to talk about it.
ETA: why, yes. Of course Mac likes beetroot, as long as it's cooked. Did you doubt it?
