This ganked from [livejournal.com profile] autopope (who needs cheering up, by the way): an automatic country & western lyric generator

I met her in a nightmare with Merv Griffin;
I can still recall that little hat she wore;
She was sobbin' at the toll booth with Miss Piggy,
and I knew she'd bought her dentures in a store;
She asked me if I'd hate her dog forever;
She said to me that birthdays made her cry;
But who'd have thought she'd run off on a surfboard;
I guess I was too smashed to say goodbye.

In other news, I dreamed of Barry last night. He is a cat who likes to drink from a running tap, thank you, and never mind the chemicals; but in my dream he went into my neighbours' kitchen and turned their tap on, and drank, and turned it off again when he was done. I do think he's a smart boy, but that might be a step too far, even for Himself (tho' I actually do think he turns the bathroom light on, in my absence. Not to make it easier to drink from the dribbling basin tap: more because the bathroom switch is a dangly thing, and he likes to leap and slay it. Every now and then, cat-weight swinging from its toggle, that's going to turn it on...)

Miss Kitty Calgary often romps through my dreams and brings her friends along. I don't know who they are, exactly, or where she finds them since she does not Go Out. I think they all come over and visit her when we're out or when we're asleep.

Felicia used to turn the tap on to drink from the running water (It was the lever type she could push). But she never bothered to turn it back off, so one had to be sure the drain was running freely.

Attacat - what did she keep a human for, if not to turn taps off behind her?

Tragically, we have twisty taps that neither nose nor paws will manage. Happily, we have a tap in the bathroom sink that drips. It's slow, but it is apparently sufficient.
