Pincer movement
Mar. 19th, 2011 10:36 amWhat with one thing and another (which included falling asleep in the bath, as it happens), I managed not to go to bed till eleven o'clock last night. Lay down, turned the light off - and there was an immediate double whammy, Barry moving in on my left flank and Mac bulling his way under the duvet on my right. It may be the first time I've ever actually fallen asleep with a cat chewing mightily on my knuckles, but I was gone. And I don't believe any one of the three of us moved until half-nine this morning.
Now it's half-ten and I must away to town, to reacquaint myself with the Lit & Phil and it with me. I have to finish this expletive-deleted copy-edit this weekend, and get it away on Monday. The good news is that I have found my bluetooth mouse, which you did not know was lost; the bad news is that I cannot find my hair-grinder, which even I did not know was lost. Karen achieves a smoother finish with an actual razor, but California would be quite a long way to go to get my head shaved.
