Indecision
Apr. 14th, 2011 10:47 amWhat shall I do, I wonder, while you guys are busy voting for Jade Man's Skin and saving the tiger?
I could go down to the Lit & Phil, but I tried that yesterday and it was a rather glum experience so I'd really rather not.
I know I said I would sort my desk out - but those nice tax people have just sent me this year's form, and if I did that first it would make a lot of sense and I'd have even more bits of paper to shred afterwards.
But, y'know. Doing taxes on the very day that the form arrives? It's unheard-of.
I could do more cleaning in the kitchen - but this is my last pair of clean jeans until yesterday's laundry is dry. And a kitchen that's clean now will only need cleaning again before houseguests arrive over Easter. That's always a consideration.
Really I just want to hunker down and read Terry Pratchett until I feel better, but that's really not an option.
On the other hand, the first step in doing taxes is always to run away; and it's kinda bright and sunny out there, albeit chill; so I could go for a long brisk walk. And if I happened to find myself anywhere near the DIY store I could maybe buy what I need to sort out the tap in the back yard, and that would be something, at least. And I could tell myself that I was one step closer to doing my taxes, oh yes.
