Folio Society
Oct. 7th, 2011 03:23 pmSo I have all these Folio Society books (classic texts for the most part, in pretty illustrated hardcover editions, in slipcases) which I really don't need to take to America; everything that makes them attractive just adds to the weight & bulk. So I was planning on selling them, via my favourite antiquarian/secondhand book dealer. Only Anthony apparently already has a shopful and doesn't want any more at the moment, thanks.
So what should I do with them? Maybe the economic downturn means that every secondhand dealer is chocka, and there just isn't a market at the moment. Maybe I should just declare them Xmas presents, and give them to my friends - but I was kind of hoping they would make a contribution to the whole moving thing. 'Specially with two boys, who are going to cost more than I do.
Which reminds me, I need to measure them. Sitting and standing and lying down. *casts about hopelessly for a tape-measure*
