better not better?

desperanceOkay, so I got over my total funk of yesterday, to the point of making bookings and buying tickets and so forth, and now we know 'zackly what we're doing over Xmas. We're going everywhere.
In other news, I have officially pulled out of my Friday gig. I'm not sure I've ever cancelled a gig in advance before, and I do not like it, but honestly. Nobody would've liked it if I'd gone. They'll be fine, they've got poets.
One good thing about having appalling challenging teeth: they give my dentist (whom I adore) a sense of grand achievement when he contrives to hold them together. Just finding three sclerotic root canals this morning was - well, appalling for one of us, challenging for the other. But he was triumphant. It did take the full half-hour appointment just to find 'em, but hey. We knew we wouldn't get this all done in one session.
I'm still on the antibiotics, so still not drinking and still feeling foul. Still falling behind on almost everything except cat-snuggling. The boys are being sweet and precious, alert to every opportunity, day and night. As they always are, when the weather turns cold...
Never mind. I should go downstairs and make a pot of tea and see if I can't get some work done after all. That's what I should do now. *nods*
