But, oh hands of mine, what have I done? What did I do yesterday? I made hummus in a machine, mostly: crushed the garlic by hand because that's what I do, but, y'know. I do that daily. I didn't type overmuch, I didn't dig in the garden, I didn't haul heavy weights around, I didn't do anything to promote a flare in the mostly-dormant RSI.
And yet, and yet: half my left hand has been numb since I woke up, and when I went to squeeze the oranges for my breakfast juice I had to use that hand anyway, because the right was a riot of pain. This too shall pass - it's fine, now that I'm not squeezing oranges: but RSI is like potential energy, you know that it's just poised, inherent, waiting for something else to tip it - but in the meantime, humph. And ow. I wasn't expecting that.
