Spot what's missing
Jan. 16th, 2007 05:02 pmI am already famous for my hopeless memory. If I'm building a dish of many components, it's standard for me to forget to add one or more; if I'm serving a banquet in someone else's house, I'll often forget a whole course. I've come almost to expect the slightly plaintive phone-call next day, "Chaz, what exactly are we supposed to do with the octopus...?"
Today, in my ongoing struggle with not-being-entirely-well, I thought chicken and noodle soup would be the thing for lunch. It all got a bit complicated in the kitchen, what with two pans and the soup-bowl all needing different things thrown in at different times. No surprise, then, that I forgot a couple of ingredients.
Have you figured out what they were yet?
Yup. The chicken, and the noodles.

Date: 2007-01-17 11:58 pm (UTC)I am so dithering about this. I'm going to Alt:Fiction in Derby at the end of April, and I'm hoping/expecting to be frantically busy with a new book around then, and I can't really afford either the time or the money for two weekends away - but, on the other hand, EasterCon would be full of nice people, and it's in Chester which is nice in and of itself, and...
So I'm dithering...
