Books! In the Real!
Oct. 26th, 2012 11:04 amApparently this is a week of actuality, for books that were virtual before. Not only is Dispossession now available from Book View Cafe as an e-book, but Karen and I both got parcels yesterday. Mine was bigger than hers, because mine had all my author's copies of Pandaemonium (which this link will offer you ways to pre-order from Amazon, with delivery just a few days away now), while hers had her pre-ordered reader's copy of House of Doors (which again this link will let you order, and you may see your copy sooner than I do mine; author's copies have yet to find their way to me, but hey. I can admire my wife's).
My mother just told me how nice it was to see a real book from me, which I suspect means a hardback book (House of Bells, since you ask: this link, etc etc). Me, I find myself sitting here assuring myself that e-books are real too and it's grand to be bringing my backlist back in that format, etc etc - but I am atavistic in my own way, and I do still like an actual book in my hands, whatever the rigidity of its cover.
