This world is all that is the case
Jan. 31st, 2007 04:52 pmWalnut bread and chestnut honey. Mmm. It will be no surprise to any of you that Barry and I are at one in this; nor that we are at two on the subject of sharing.
Also, I have chilli seeds! Just in time, as tomorrow (Feb 1) is my formal chilli-planting day; gotta start them early in these northerly climes, to get a decent season of fruit.
What I question is whether I'll actually be allowed any fruit at all this year, whether I'll even be allowed to grow them through to fruiting. The windowsills are Barry's, and all that thereon is; except that shortly thereafter it isn't, 'cos he knocks things off, in order to free up more space for Himself. How I can persuade him to let his lovely windowplaces fill up with greeny growing things that he doesn't even want to eat, I have no idea. Last year I had mature plants, and he destroyed them all by violence; I can't see seedlings lasting.
On the other hand, neither can I sit on my hands and do nothing, not try. So the seeds go in the pots tomorrow (save those that go by post to
gauroth, and anyone else who wants some...? C'mon, you know you want to; growing chillies is fun, and there is nothing like their fresh-harvested juicy hotness...).
