We are unsurprised: my dictionary-of-choice back in the UK used to offer three different ways to hyphenate rosebay willowherb, at various different points in the same volume. When I challenged them on this, they laughed and cried, "Oh lord, you're not using us as an authority on hyphenation, are you? We don't have a clue..."
So, I dunno. I could run a poll, perhaps? Or stick a pin in the donkey. Or have a cat choose, whichever seems the warmest...
