Mar. 27th, 2013 10:10 amSo there I was inspecting my favas for any sign of bean, and there was this insect on a stem, not looking like anything I'd seen before. Orange body, black rectangular wingcase (or possibly just back: it didn't stretch out any wings while I was looking):

Any ideas? Is this the dreadful plague-bringing fava-eating Death of Life beetle, or a beneficial blackfly-nomming CuddleBug?
