Coming back
Feb. 19th, 2007 07:15 amI've been thinking for a while that actually I am a traveller after all, I like leaving home; but in truth this only goes one way. I like to go out; coming back is just a grind. Why, yes, I am a teenager at heart; why do you ask?
Still, I shall go to Oxford shortly, and meet up with
jemck, and drink coffee in Blackwell's, and that will be good. And then on, and home, and Barry...
Meanwhile: I've been using Linux for, oh, six years? More? Number of crashes: fingers of one hand. At worst. I may be maligning Linux. I've been using Windows on this machine for, um, less than twenty-four hours. Number of boots: four. Number of freezes occasioning hard reboot: two. I would say welcome home, but Windows never did feel like home to me, just a house where I lived awhile. As before, can't wait to move out...
