Entries in a non-existent list

desperanceIf I were a list-making man, I could make a list of Things Which Make A Surprising Difference*, and I could add two Things today:
A fresh blade in the razor; and
Tyres pumped up to the proper pressure on the bicycle.
In both instances, what had been something like hard work suddenly becomes "Whee! Surfaces are for gliding over!"
The razor thing I really should remember, for this is hardly the first time of revelation. The bicycle tyre thing is effectively new to me, tho' I should probably have figured it out sooner; they really had become disgracefully soft. At the moment I'm assuming that's just what happens, if you let them go a year or more without pumping; if there proves to be anything wronger than that, I daresay it'll reveal itself soonish.
