Something very strange is going on

desperanceThere are sossidges-in-bacon out cooling on the kitchen counter, and so far as I am aware, not a single cat nor wife has troubled them at all. This is in defiance of all known laws of nature, and I am perturbed.
In other news, given their constituents - sossidges, bacon - laying them out on a square of kitchen paper to absorb grease is kinda like taking a squeegee to the North Sea, or (as I am obliged to say nowadays) the Pacific Ocean. I do not say "the San Francisco Bay", because one could probably have more effect on the Bay with a squeegee than a single square of kitchen paper will have on these little sweethearts. But hey: it's a gesture. Gestures are cool with me.
