My rather awesome wife has gone off to start her new job today. After nine or ten months at home, it's oddly disconnecting for both of us, I think. Me, I am full of plans on how to fill my long and lonesome day. I've made lists and everything. There is not a moment to lose.
In other news, the yard guys pruned our roses for us last month. I'd meant to do it myself, but was grateful none the less - until this morning, when I trod barefoot on a discarded rose-clipping as I crossed the lawn to inspect the baby favas. For the second time in a week. If I die of blood poisoning, you might want to inspect the sole of my right foot. Twice.
Meanwhile, on with the day, tra-la! I have cats to abandon in an empty house. How in the world will they deal...?

Chino's opinion re cats dealing
Date: 2015-02-16 07:08 pm (UTC)If they're blind it's an adventure (chino:tick but he didn't get the memo about being blind, says the woman why had to crawl through the hedge to retrieve him again today), deaf (chino: maybe if he'd admit to it but "I heard you; but you didn't make any sense") and dumb (chino: "they'll cope, believe me, and send them my email address if they need help; plus *sleeping;purrrrrr".
Disclaimer: Chino has no visible opposable thumbs, has not to my knowledge sent an email in his life, and has never demonstrated any empathy for those he cannot individually harass. (I have survived, but only by getting to his food bowl before it empties...)
