...and it's one of those days where it doesn't really matter how you feel, sick or well: you just look out at the rain on the wind and the visible chill and the bitter greyness of it all, and think "nah, not going out there today, thanks..."

I have soup, for when I want it; I have coffee; I have heat. I have the makings of a toddy, and all other necessary or superfluous medications. I have two cats and the internets for distraction (the cats, needless to say, are in the heat: specifically, Mac is sprawled on the carpet, while Barry is curled up sleeping on guarding the manuscript on my desk).

And I have the end of this book in sight. I do. I shall fare forth, and see if I can't reach it.

If I don't make it back out, don't none of you follow me in.
