Does blood lose its clotting-factor in middle age? When I was a young man, I never bothered to have sticking-plasters in the house; accidents with knives were as commonplace then as now, but a minute under the cold tap, maybe a minute's pressure with a tissue and I was sorted. No more bleeding.

These days? I can leak and ooze for hours, despite elaborate precautions. It's a pain.

You might be on some sort of medication that's a blood thinner.

I've always been a bleeder; I haven't noticed much difference lately. But I know friends of mine who are on various medications are finding it affects them when they get even a slight cut.

Mention it to the doctor next time you are in.

LOL....poor leaking you!

I hope it's nothing serious, you really should have some blood work done though, just in case, you know?

Aspirin is of course a notorious blood thinner (as is rat poison...).

In the meantime are you remembering to raise it above your heart and apply pressure?

In other news - last night my ribs moved when I breathed in! Hurrah!
Today I worked from home pretty damn successfully too.
