Yup, it's here. 11-45: only twenty-three hours and forty-five minutes late. I still want to know if I can bill them; I want my day back.

Also, should I be a good author and scurry off to the Lit & Phil, like right now, to start work on it? Or should I carry on writing, as I am now well into the chapter? Or should I revoke all work until lunchtime and play with Linux...?

Questions, questions...

[ETA: Mac has made himself comfortable on the copy-edit: it's new! it's his! - so I guess I'm not going anywhere for a while.]

[ETA 2: also, I'm on page 222, which besides being rather pleasing to look at is a double nelson and hence terribly unlucky to the English cricket fan, so I have to lift the luck by writing through to 223, like right now...]

Unfortunately, being an English cricket fan is unlucky for English cricket fans, at least those of us still intetested in Test cricket. Sad [or good] for me, the only cricket I get to watch is online, since BBC America has such a sorry lineup. I fondly remember being back in Ipswich with the TV tuned all day to the cricket. My wife was not so happy, but we can't have it all, can we?
