Midday duty

It is apparently my task around this time of day to wake the cats from where they lie slumbering - on the stairs, on a windowsill - in places that the traitor sun has abandoned, in order that they may shuffle that crucial six inches or a foot over to catch it up again. And stretch, and sigh, and curl up again with vaguely accusatory glances, quite determined that it's all my fault...
