desperanceThis isn't strictly a Deathrace 2009 post, as I may not have finished work yet; but so far I have written 2,865 words today. I'm pausing now - at least - because I have finally finished this chapter, and this Part. Which I thought I might do yesterday, and then this morning, and then "in a couple of lines" this afternoon, and now finally this evening after the better part of 3000 words. Phew!
Only one Part to go now, and that a short one. Conveniently, all these books have fallen into six Parts. I do like parity, although I swear I did not plan this effect.
Bugger: I have to think of a Part title before I can carry on and write the thing. Something preferably that will wrap up all that has gone before. This may be the end of my working today after all...
In other news: I have also made crap-apple jelly (om nom nom) today, and invented an octopus sauce for spaghetti. If I'd had more than one octopus, it would of course have been an octopodes sauce, but alas...
Still an hour or two before dinner-time, though. That's plenty, to start the final Part. With an extra glass of wine. On, on...
