I used to know how to change the graphics driver in Linux. Pop open the hood and edit xorg.conf - I used to have to do that to make Suse run on my system. Then I switched to Ubuntu, and never needed to. Until now. And now? I can't figure out how to do it. There is no xorg.conf any more; the system has autodetect! You don't need it!

Until you do, because the autodetect isn't autodetecting. And I don't know how to do it now. It's supposed to be easy, there's allegedly a gui method, even - but no. No can do. And I can't work with the crude display I've got, and waaah...
