Well, that was fun

Windows crashed on me this morning, and then refused to start at all; and then spent half an hour trying to repair itself and failed dismally; and I have ended up doing a complete system-recovery factory-default reinstall which has of course wiped all my Linux installations also. I really, really resent that...

I will now be spending this gorgeous sunny afternoon doing everything all over again. Including, no doubt, failing to get any Linux installation working properly. Hey-ho.
